About this item
Typists who want a Keychron board without paying full retail often search for a used Keychron Q9 mechanical keyboard. This blue example with Gateron Red switches is listed by an independent eBay seller as open box or used for $65.00. Check the condition carefully before you buy.
Are Gateron Red switches good for gaming and typing?
Gateron Reds are linear switches, so the keys travel smoothly without a bump or click. Gamers like the quick, light action. They are also quieter than clicky switches, which helps in an office or dorm.
- Used vs. open box: The title says both, so ask the seller which applies.
- Key wear: Check the keycaps for shine, and ask whether every key has been tested.
- Included items: Confirm the cable and any keycap or switch tools are included.
