About this item
For a cheap 15.6-inch laptop that covers web browsing, email and schoolwork, this Gateway Ultra Slim Notebook in green is listed open box at $170. It runs a Pentium Silver processor with 4GB of RAM, 128GB of eMMC storage and Windows 10.
Is a 4GB RAM Gateway notebook enough for students?
For light tasks like documents, video calls and a few browser tabs, it can work. Heavy multitasking, gaming or photo editing will stretch 4GB and a Pentium Silver chip.
- 128GB of eMMC fills up fast, so plan on cloud storage or a USB drive.
- Windows 10 is listed, so check whether the seller mentions an upgrade.
- As it's open box, ask about battery health and confirm the charger is included.
- Inspect the photos of the green lid and screen for marks.
