About this item
At $30, this open-box Corsair Strafe RGB mechanical gaming keyboard with Cherry MX switches is a bargain for anyone comfortable with a small fix: the seller notes two keycaps are missing. That makes it a smart buy for budget gamers, students, or hobbyists who already have spare caps in a drawer.
How hard is it to replace missing keycaps on a Cherry MX keyboard?
Usually easy. Aftermarket keycaps made for Cherry MX switches are widely available, so single caps or full sets are simple to source.
- Find out which two keys are missing; a spacebar or other long key is trickier than a letter key.
- Ask whether the switches under the missing caps still work.
- Check the photos for the cable and any other wear.
- Open-box purchases are still covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
Matching the original caps exactly may be hard, so some buyers simply swap in a full new set.
