About this item
CRT screens are getting harder to find, and this Envision EN-775e 17-inch flat CRT monitor is listed as new for $394.95. It runs at up to 1280x1024 and is aimed at retro gaming fans who want the look of older displays.
Why use a 17-inch flat CRT monitor for retro gaming?
Old PC games were designed for CRTs. Many players prefer how a tube handles motion and lower resolutions compared with modern flat panels. A 17-inch flat screen also works well on a dedicated retro PC desk.
- Video connection: check the listing for the input type and whether a cable is included. Newer graphics cards may need an adapter.
- Condition wording: ask whether the unit is new old stock or newly made.
- Size and weight: CRTs are deep and heavy, so check the dimensions against your desk.
- Packaging: ask the seller how it will be packed for transit.
