About this item
This Intel copper heatsink fan is a low-cost CPU cooler for desktops with 1155, 1156, 1150, 1151 and 1200 sockets. Those sockets cover many generations of Intel Core i5 and i7 office and home PCs. At $12.98 open box, it's a practical choice for refurbishers, IT departments and anyone reviving a tower whose old fan has died or gotten loud.
Is this copper CPU cooler fan enough for my Intel PC?
For everyday and office use with a standard-power chip, a basic cooler like this is the usual choice. The title doesn't give a heat rating, so overclocked or high-power CPUs are better off with a larger cooler.
- Thermal paste: check whether paste is pre-applied. If not, have some ready.
- Mounting: make sure the push-pins or clips look intact in the photos.
- Fan cable: confirm the plug fits your motherboard's CPU fan header.
