Multi-GPU rigs for AI, rendering or lab testing are where the PLX88096 PCIe 4.0 expansion card belongs. It's a quad-card GPU baseboard for running several graphics cards from one host, and this open-box unit lists a 65mm width at $497.89.
Who needs a PCIe 4.0 quad-GPU baseboard?
This is specialist hardware for compute workstations and GPU servers, not a typical gaming upgrade. The title gives few specs, so the listing description is where you'll find how it connects to the host and powers the cards.
- Host connection: check which cable or adapter links the board to your PC or server.
- Power: confirm the power input requirements for the board and the GPUs.
- Card spacing: find out whether the 65mm width refers to slot spacing and whether your GPUs will fit.
- Open-box contents: ask which cables and brackets are included.
