About this item
Worn keys, a loose touchpad or a cracked top case on an HP 17-BY or 17-CA laptop can often be fixed with one part: this new palmrest with a non-backlit keyboard and PTP touchpad, part number L92785-001. The title lists it for ODD models, meaning laptops built with an optical drive bay. It suits DIY repairers and shops refurbishing these HP notebooks.
How do I know this HP 17-BY palmrest matches my laptop?
Check the full model on your laptop's label and confirm it has an optical drive. If your current top case shows a part number, compare it with L92785-001.
- Keyboard type: this keyboard is non-backlit, so it won't add lighting to your machine.
- Price: $354.59 is high for a palmrest, so compare similar listings.
- Included parts: look for photos that show the touchpad and cables installed.
- Color and layout: confirm both from the seller's photos.
