About this item
Short on space on your Mac mini M4? The ORICO MiniMate 2TB external SSD is a storage expansion designed for that machine and rated for 20Gbps transfers. This open-box unit is listed at $84.00.
Is an external SSD a good way to add storage to a Mac mini M4?
Yes. Built-in storage upgrades from Apple cost a lot, so an external drive is an affordable way to store photo libraries, video projects and backups.
- Port speed: to get 20Gbps, check that your Mac's port and the included cable support it.
- Contents: confirm the 2TB SSD is installed and ask what cables come with it.
- Open-box: read the seller's notes on testing and previous use.
- Formatting: plan to format the drive for macOS when you set it up.
