About this item
A Dell Precision T5810 workstation with a Xeon E5-1650 v4 is aimed at steady professional workloads. This certified refurbished unit comes with 32GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. It appeals to engineering students, home-lab tinkerers and video editors who want pro-grade hardware without paying for a new machine.
Is the Dell Precision T5810 still good for CAD and editing?
The Xeon platform is older, but 32GB of memory keeps large projects, virtual machines and many browser tabs running smoothly. Performance in CAD or rendering depends heavily on the graphics card, and the title doesn't list one.
- Graphics: confirm which GPU, if any, is installed.
- Operating system: check the Windows version and license.
- Footprint: plan floor or desk space for a full workstation case.
- Upgrades: ask about free drive bays and memory slots.
