About this item
A Latitude i7 5600U touch screen laptop with 16GB of DDR3 RAM and a 512GB SSD gives office users and students plenty of room for documents and browser tabs. The open-box listing also mentions 1080p, HDMI and a webcam, all for $375.
Is an older i7 5600U laptop still good for office work?
The i7 5600U is an older 2.6GHz chip. With an SSD and 16GB RAM, though, it should handle office apps, browsing and video calls. Don't expect it to run modern games or heavy editing software.
- OS check: find out what's installed and whether it still gets updates.
- Battery age: the battery in an older laptop may be worn, so ask for a battery health reading.
- Touch response: look for a note saying the touch screen was tested.
- Charger: make sure a power adapter is part of the sale.
