About this item
At $115, this Intel NUC8i3CYSN mini PC is one of the cheapest ways to get a small Windows desktop. It has an i3-8121U processor, Radeon 540 graphics, 4GB of RAM, a 1TB hard drive and Windows 10. It's listed as open box and comes in the retail box.
Is the NUC8i3CYSN still useful as a budget mini PC?
Yes, for light tasks like web browsing, documents, a kitchen or garage PC, or a simple media player.
- 4GB of RAM is limited, so plan to add more if you multitask.
- The 1TB drive is an HDD. Swapping in an SSD will make it noticeably faster.
- Windows 10 support has ended, so decide how you'll handle OS updates.
- Check that the power adapter is in the retail box.
It could suit a student on a tight budget or anyone setting up a second PC.
