About this item
The Sonnet eGFX Breakaway Box 550 is a GPU enclosure that lets a laptop or compact desktop use a full desktop graphics card. This open-box unit is listed as new but with dents. It is sold as the enclosure only, so no graphics card is included. Its 550W rating gives headroom for a capable card, which suits creators rendering video and gamers who want more frames from a thin machine.
Is a dented Sonnet eGFX Breakaway Box 550 still worth it?
Dents are often cosmetic, but ask the seller exactly where they are and whether the frame or card slot was affected.
- Card fit: check the listing for maximum card length and power connectors before pairing a GPU.
- Connection: confirm your computer has the port this external GPU box needs.
- What's included: look for the power cable and data cable in the photos.
- Damage: zoom in on the dented panels for bent edges.
