About this item
If you need a simple Dell OptiPlex 3020 tower for email, web apps and documents, this one has an Intel Core i5-4570, 8GB of RAM, a 1TB hard drive, USB 2.0, a DisplayPort output and Windows 10. It's Certified - Refurbished at $245.99.
Is a Dell OptiPlex 3020 still fine for office use?
Yes, for basic office tasks, point-of-sale software or a spare home computer. It's an older platform, though, so it's not a good choice for gaming or video editing.
- Hard drive, not SSD: expect slower boot times. Many buyers add an SSD later.
- Windows 10: check the listing for update status and decide whether staying on Windows 10 works for you.
- Connecting a monitor: the title lists DisplayPort, so you may need an adapter for an HDMI or VGA screen.
- Keyboard and mouse: check whether they're included.
