About this item
Fans of older ThinkPads will recognize the Lenovo ThinkPad T430s. This certified refurbished 14" unit has a Core i5-3320M at 2.60GHz, 8GB of RAM, a 128GB SSD and a battery the seller describes as working. It's priced at $230.99.
Is an older ThinkPad T430s still usable today?
It can be for writing, basic browsing, retro tinkering or as a Linux project machine. Modern video calls and heavy websites will feel slow. Newer refurbished laptops may cost about the same, so compare before you buy.
- Operating system: the title doesn't list one. Check what's installed and whether it still gets updates.
- Battery: "working" doesn't mean strong, so ask how long it lasts on a charge.
- Storage: 128GB is tight for large files.
- Charger: make sure it's included.
