About this item
Workshops, labs, kiosks and factory floors are hard on regular keyboards, and that's where the iKey IK-82-SA-USB rugged sealed USB keyboard fits in. This black QWERTY model has an IP65 rating and is listed new at $21.99 by an independent eBay seller, which is a low price for an industrial-style external keyboard.
What does IP65 mean on a rugged keyboard?
Under the IP rating system, IP65 means the device is dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets. That makes it worth considering for messy areas or places where you wipe equipment down.
- Check whether it has a built-in pointing device, since the title doesn't say.
- Check the description for the USB cable length and connector.
- Look at the photos for the key layout and any wear on the housing.
- If you plan to wash it down, check the description for cleaning guidance.
