About this item
A Perixx Periboard-524 wireless ergonomic split keyboard with a US layout, listed open box at $39.95. The seller notes it was tested, which is reassuring for an open-box item. Split designs let your hands sit farther apart than on a flat board, a setup many remote workers, writers and long-shift office users look for when building a more ergonomic desk.
Should you buy an open-box ergonomic split keyboard?
At this price it's a low-risk way to find out whether a split layout suits you, provided the listing answers a few questions.
- Check that any wireless receiver it needs is included.
- Ask what "tested" covered, such as every key and the wireless connection.
- Look for photos of key wear or any missing legends.
- Confirm the power source and whether batteries are included.
