What should I check on an open-box ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13?
Start with the CPU model and screen type, since both affect what you get for the price. Then compare against similar listings to judge value.
- Warranty claim: the title mentions a 1-year warranty. Ask the seller who backs it and whether it transfers to you.
- Condition: look closely at photos of the lid, palm rest and screen.
- Charger: confirm a power adapter is included.
- Software: verify the operating system. Also check that the laptop isn't enrolled in a company's device management system.
