About this item
If you're deciding between open box and sealed, consider this Valve Steam Machine 512GB. The seller says it's tested, working and in hand. It's listed at $1,689.55 without a controller, which makes it worth comparing with new, sealed listings.
Is an open-box Steam Machine worth it over a new one?
It can be, if the price difference is big enough and the seller shows convincing proof of testing. Read the description and photos closely.
- Testing proof: look for photos or notes showing it powering on and running games.
- Accessories: no controller is included, so check that the power cable and box are.
- Cosmetic condition: look for scratches, dust or broken seals.
- Storage: the listed capacity is 512GB, and a big Steam library may need more room.
