About this item
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 6 listed here pairs a sharp 14-inch QHD screen with an i7-8650U and 16GB of DDR4, but storage is just 128GB. That trade-off shapes who it suits: writers, students and cloud-first office users who keep their files online rather than on the laptop.
Should you worry about Windows 10 and 128GB on an X1 Carbon?
Windows 10 no longer gets regular free security updates, so ask the seller whether Windows 11 can be installed. The small drive also fills up fast as updates and apps pile up.
- Plan on cloud storage or an external drive for photos and media.
- Ask if the SSD can be swapped for a larger one.
- Check battery health in the refurbishment notes.
- Confirm a charger is part of the bundle.
