About this item
If you're stepping up from 1080p, the ASUS ROG Strix XG27ACG 27-inch WQHD gaming monitor hits a popular sweet spot. It runs 2560x1440 on a 27" screen with a 180Hz refresh rate. This one is listed as new for $183.99, and it adds USB Type-C to the mix.
Is a 27" 1440p 180Hz monitor good for both gaming and work?
For most desks, yes. WQHD gives you noticeably more workspace than 1080p, and 180Hz keeps fast shooters and racing games smooth.
- GPU match: your graphics card needs to push high frame rates at 1440p to make use of 180Hz.
- USB Type-C: check the listing for what the port supports before you count on a single-cable laptop hookup.
- In the box: confirm which stand and cables are included.
- Seller details: review the return terms and look for photos of the sealed box.
