About this item
A ThinkPad P1 Gen 8 with a 16-inch 3.2K OLED touch display is aimed at creators and engineers who want workstation-class parts in a premium laptop. This new listing combines an Ultra 9 285H, RTX PRO 2000 graphics, 64GB RAM and a 2TB SSD for $4,600.00.
Who actually needs 64GB RAM and 2TB in a laptop?
Video editors, 3D artists, photographers with huge RAW libraries and developers running several virtual machines will put it to use. For office work, it's overkill, and a lighter configuration would save a lot of money.
- OLED touchscreen: a strong match for color-rich photo and video editing; check listing photos of the panel.
- Graphics memory: the title doesn't state VRAM for the RTX PRO 2000, so confirm it in the specs.
- Box contents: confirm the charger is included.
- Price check: compare against other P1 Gen 8 builds with similar memory and storage.
