About this item
Looking for a cheap Mac Mini Late 2014? This A1347 unit lists a 2.6 GHz Intel dual-core i5, 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD, and it's offered open box for $239.00. The SSD is the most useful part of this setup. It makes booting and launching apps much faster than an old spinning hard drive would.
Is a 2014 Mac Mini still worth buying?
It can work well for web browsing, documents, a home media setup or a spare computer for kids. This is older hardware, so it suits light use rather than video editing or gaming.
- Check which macOS version is installed. The listing title doesn't state it.
- Confirm the power cable is in the box.
- You'll need your own monitor, keyboard and mouse unless the seller includes them.
- Ask the seller what "open box" means for this unit.
