About this item
At $3,499, the ThinkPad P16 Gen 3 3.2K OLED laptop with 32GB RAM and 1TB keeps the same core hardware as the pricier builds listed here. You still get the Ultra 9 285HX processor, RTX Pro 2000 8GB graphics and 16-inch touch display. The savings come from less memory and storage. That makes it a smart pick for engineering and architecture students, and for professionals whose work leans on the GPU more than on memory.
Is 32GB enough on a ThinkPad P16 Gen 3?
For CAD, coding, photo editing and most rendering, 32GB goes a long way. Large simulations or many virtual machines may push you toward 64GB.
- Upgrades: ask the seller whether the RAM is soldered or socketed before you plan a later upgrade.
- Operating system: confirm it in the listing.
- Charger: make sure it's included in the box.
