About this item
A ready-built retro gaming PC with Windows 98SE, XP and DOS saves hours of hunting for period-correct parts and drivers. This open-box listing at $429 runs an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000 with Nvidia graphics. It multiboots between Win98SE, XP and DOS and comes with 50 games, per the title. Collectors, YouTubers revisiting childhood classics and anyone fighting compatibility issues on modern hardware are the natural buyers.
What should you ask before buying a multiboot retro PC?
Older machines vary a lot, so the seller's description is your best guide.
- Find the exact Nvidia card, RAM and drive details, since the title doesn't list them.
- Check the game list for the titles you actually want to play.
- See whether a monitor, keyboard, mouse or speakers are included.
- The eBay Money Back Guarantee covers the purchase.
