About this item
The ASUS ROG Xbox Ally packs a 7-inch 120Hz touchscreen, an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD into a compact gaming PC for play on the couch or on the road. An independent eBay seller lists this one as open box for $430.00, which makes it a tempting entry point for PC gamers who want a portable setup.
Is an open-box ROG Xbox Ally handheld a smart buy?
It can be, if the photos and description back up what's in the box. Open box usually means the packaging has been opened, so read the seller's notes closely.
- Storage: 512GB fills quickly with modern games, so plan which titles you'll install or budget for extra space.
- Screen: zoom in on photos of the 7-inch touchscreen for scratches or marks.
- Charger: confirm the power adapter is included.
- Battery: look for any note on battery health or prior use.
