About this item
This Dell 17.3-inch laptop with an i7 and Windows 7 Pro is a niche find. It is listed new at $1,098.00 with a 3.10GHz i7, 8GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, a CD/DVD drive and a backlit keyboard. It's aimed at buyers who specifically need Windows 7.
Who should buy a new Windows 7 Pro Dell laptop today?
It mainly suits businesses, labs or hobbyists running older software or hardware that won't work on newer Windows. Windows 7 no longer receives Microsoft security updates, so keep it off risky networks.
- CPU generation: the title doesn't name the exact i7 model, so ask the seller.
- Model number: confirm the Dell series so you can look up ports and upgrade options.
- Memory: 8GB is modest, so check whether RAM can be added.
- Discs: the built-in CD/DVD drive is handy for installing legacy software from disc.
