About this item
For kids and students who mostly work in a browser, the ASUS Chromebook CR11 keeps things simple. It has an 11.6-inch HD display, an Intel N100 chip, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of eMMC storage and Intel UHD graphics, and it runs ChromeOS. It's listed new at $299.00.
Is an 11.6-inch Chromebook enough for school?
For web apps, online assignments, research and video lessons, generally yes. The small size makes it easy to carry between classes, though the screen can feel cramped during long writing sessions.
- Storage: 64GB of eMMC is small, so plan to save files to the cloud.
- RAM: 4GB handles light multitasking, but lots of open tabs may slow it down.
- Updates: before you buy, look up the ChromeOS auto-update date for this model.
- Enrollment: confirm that it isn't enrolled in a school or business management system.
