About this item
Competitive players who want more mouse room should look at the Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition TKL. This tenkeyless gaming keyboard uses linear red switches, Razer Chroma RGB lighting and a wired USB-C connection. It is listed new at $50.99.
Are the linear red switches on the Huntsman Tournament Edition good for gaming?
Linear switches travel smoothly with no tactile bump, which many FPS and esports players like for quick, repeated presses. Typists who prefer feedback may want a tactile option instead.
- TKL layout: there is no number pad, which frees space for wide mouse swipes.
- Cable: confirm that a USB-C cable is included and check the connector on the PC end.
- Software: RGB effects are typically set through Razer's app, so check that it supports your OS.
- Packaging: see whether the box is shown sealed.
