About this item
This NVIDIA RTX 5050 gaming PC combines a current-generation graphics card with an Intel Core i7-6850K, 32GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. It is listed as new, but the processor itself is an older high-end desktop chip.
Is an RTX 5050 with an i7-6850K good for 1080p gaming?
It can make sense if you are on a budget and mainly want a modern GPU. In CPU-heavy games, though, the older processor may hold frame rates back. Compare the price with builds on newer platforms before you decide.
- What 'new' means: ask whether every part is new or the build uses some refurbished components.
- Power supply and cooling: check the PSU wattage and cooler model in the listing.
- Operating system: confirm whether an activated copy is included.
- Storage: modern games fill 512GB fast, so budget for a second drive.
