About this item
An open-box ASUS Chromebook Plus CX3402 costs less than a new one and gives students and home users a 14-inch FHD screen with an Intel Core i3-1215U. It has 8GB RAM and a 128GB SSD and runs Chrome OS, so it's best for web apps, Google Docs and streaming rather than heavy local software. The WH in the title suggests a white finish.
Is an open-box Chromebook Plus worth it for school?
The i3 and 8GB of RAM are plenty for browser-based coursework, note-taking and video calls. If you need Windows-only programs, this isn't the right laptop.
- Open box can mean anything from unused to lightly handled, so read the seller's condition notes and look at the photos.
- Check that the charger and any original packaging are included.
- 128GB fills up quickly, so plan to keep big files in cloud storage.
- If the photos are unclear, ask the seller about screen marks or keyboard wear.
