About this item
Here's a piece of trading-floor history: a Bloomberg Keyboard Maxi Sound from 1997, listed open box for $250.00. It's a conversation piece for trading desk veterans, keyboard collectors and anyone documenting the history of financial technology.
Can a 1997 Bloomberg keyboard work with a modern computer?
Don't assume it will. The connector type and any required drivers aren't listed, so treat it mainly as a display or collector item unless the seller confirms modern compatibility.
- Connector: ask what cable or plug it uses.
- Sound feature: the 'Maxi Sound' name hints at audio functions. Ask whether they still work.
- Completeness: check the photos for the original box, cables and paperwork.
- Condition: request close-ups of keys, legends and casing for yellowing or wear.
