About this item
Note that this listing is a Mac Pro 5,1 macOS Sequoia boot SSD, not the computer itself. The 500GB drive comes with macOS Sequoia 15 and OpenCore Legacy Patcher (OCLP), the community tool that lets older unsupported Macs run newer macOS versions. It's aimed at Mac Pro 5,1 owners who want a newer OS without doing the patching themselves.
Will a Sequoia OCLP boot drive work in my Mac Pro 5,1?
That depends on your graphics card, firmware and how the drive connects. Ask the seller which configurations it was tested with.
- Drive type: confirm whether it's SATA or NVMe and whether you need an adapter or sled.
- GPU: check which graphics cards the seller supports for Sequoia.
- Updates: OCLP systems may need re-patching after macOS updates.
- Data: back up your current drive before you swap.
