About this item
Squarer screens still have their uses, and the Dell E1715S 17-inch business monitor covers them with a 5:4 LED LCD panel at 1280x1024 (SXGA), VGA and DisplayPort inputs, and an included stand. At $89.99 new, it's a practical replacement for point-of-sale stations, factory floors, school labs and offices that run older PCs or software built for 5:4 displays.
Why buy a 5:4 1280x1024 monitor today?
Some legacy systems, industrial controls and fixed screen layouts expect this shape. The VGA input also connects to older computers that lack modern ports.
- Check that your PC has a VGA or DisplayPort output, or plan for an adapter.
- Confirm which video cable, if any, is in the box.
- Check that the power cable is included.
- For gaming or widescreen video, a 16:9 monitor will suit you better.
