About this item
An RTX 5070 at this price grabs attention. The Acer ANV16-42 16" gaming laptop pairs that GPU with an AMD Ryzen 7 260, 8GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD and Windows 11. It's listed certified refurbished for $1,069.43 and targets PC gamers and streamers who want current-generation graphics on a budget.
Is 8GB of RAM enough for a gaming laptop with an RTX 5070?
RAM is the bottleneck in this build. Many modern games and streaming setups run better with 16GB or more. Ask the seller whether the memory is upgradeable and how many slots are free.
- Refurb grade: Check the photos for shiny keys and lid wear.
- Thermals: Ask whether the fans were cleaned during refurbishment.
- Charger: Confirm the full-wattage adapter is included.
- Storage: 1TB holds a healthy game library before you need an external drive.
