About this item
This open-box ASUS ROG Strix G18 gaming laptop lists serious hardware: an i9-13980HX, RTX 4080 graphics, 16GB, a 1TB SSD and an 18-inch QHD+ 240Hz display. The catch is in the title: it's sold with a bad keyboard, and it's listed at $1,399.99. It suits gamers and creators who plan to use an external keyboard or arrange a repair.
Is an RTX 4080 ROG Strix G18 with a bad keyboard worth buying?
It can be if you're comfortable plugging in an external keyboard or budgeting for a replacement part. Get the full picture of the fault first.
- Ask exactly which keys or functions fail and whether liquid was involved.
- Confirm the 16GB is system RAM and ask about its configuration.
- Check that the charger is included.
