About this item
Color-critical work is the natural home for a Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 7 OLED. This open-box unit pairs that screen with an Ultra 7 165H, 32GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD and RTX 2000 Ada graphics. Photographers, colorists and 3D designers are the likely buyers at $2,699.
Should you choose an open-box ThinkPad P1 Gen 7 OLED over new?
Open box can trim the cost of a high-end workstation, but you give up some certainty about how it was handled. The deciding factor is how clearly the seller documents its condition.
- OLED panel: check photos for burn-in or an uneven tint on gray backgrounds.
- Hardware match: confirm the GPU and SSD size against a system screenshot.
- Charger: make sure the power adapter is included.
- Prior use: ask the seller about any previous use.
A good fit for photo editing, grading and 3D work.
