About this item
Want a custom built SteamOS gaming PC that boots straight into your Steam library? This brand-new build is listed at $1,200.00, but the title doesn't name a single component. That leaves the value question open, and you should answer it before you buy.
How do you judge a custom SteamOS PC with no specs listed?
Ask the seller for a full parts list, then price those components yourself. A fair build should come close to that total plus a reasonable fee for assembly.
- Core parts: get the CPU, graphics card, RAM, storage, and the power supply brand and wattage.
- SteamOS setup: confirm that it's installed and updated, and decide whether its desktop mode meets your needs.
- Receipts: ask whether the seller can share part receipts.
- Testing: request photos or a video of it running a demanding game.
It suits couch gamers and living-room setups. Purchases are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
