About this item
At $99.95, this open-box Asus Chromebox 2 CN62 with an Intel i3 is one of the cheapest ways to get a ChromeOS desktop. Put it on a desk, connect it to a TV or use it for a simple kiosk or classroom station.
Is a Chromebox 2 still worth buying today?
It can be, for web browsing, online documents and streaming. The key question is software support. Older Chromebox models eventually stop receiving ChromeOS updates, so look up this model's update status before you rely on it every day.
- Check the listing for RAM and storage, which the title doesn't state.
- Make sure the power adapter is included, since open-box units sometimes arrive without accessories.
- Look at the photos for case wear and port condition.
- Plan to supply your own monitor, keyboard and mouse.
