About this item
Think of this Dell 7875 with a Threadripper 7995WX as a high-end base to build on. It has a top-tier processor and 96.45TB of combined M.2 SSD and HDD storage, but only 16GB of DDR5 memory and a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card. It's listed at $19,999.99 in open box condition.
Is 16GB of DDR5 enough for a Threadripper desktop?
For most work that calls for a processor like this, 16GB will probably hold it back. Many buyers would add more memory, so include that in your total cost.
- Ask how many memory slots are free.
- Confirm how much of the 96.45TB is fast M.2 SSD and how much is HDD.
- Think about whether the GTX 1080 Ti is enough for your GPU work.
- Ask for a full parts list and photos of the open box unit.
