About this item
Nostalgia gamers hunting for a retro gaming PC with Windows XP will spot the appeal here: an AMD Phenom II processor, Radeon graphics and an Audigy 2 sound card in a custom build, listed open box at $379.95. The seller even name-checks Crysis in the title.
Why buy a Windows XP retro gaming PC?
Many 2000s-era games and their sound effects run best on period hardware and software. A dedicated XP machine avoids the compatibility headaches of modern Windows and gives classic titles the setup they were made for.
- Exact parts: the title doesn't give the Phenom II model, Radeon card, RAM or storage, so read the full description.
- Internet safety: XP no longer receives security updates, so keep it offline or firewalled.
- Games included? ask whether Crysis or other titles are installed and properly licensed.
- Coverage: the eBay Money Back Guarantee applies.
