About this item
Students and families who want a big-screen Acer Chromebook Plus 516 can get this certified refurbished unit for $287.01. It lists a 16-inch display, an Intel i3-1315U processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, running ChromeOS.
Is the Acer Chromebook Plus 516 right for school and home use?
If your day runs on a browser, Google apps and streaming, ChromeOS keeps things simple. It doesn't run standard Windows programs, so make sure the software you need works on ChromeOS first.
- 128GB is modest, so cloud storage helps with photos and files.
- Look up the auto-update expiration date for this model to see how long it will get software updates.
- Read the refurbishment notes on screen, keyboard and battery condition.
- Make sure the charger comes in the box.
A 16-inch screen makes split-screen homework and streaming more comfortable.
