About this item

A certified refurbished Acer SB242Y H1bi 23.8-inch 1080p monitor listed at $56.63 makes an easy, low-cost add-on for a dorm room, home office or dual-screen setup. It offers 1920 x 1080 resolution in a 16:9 shape, a 100Hz refresh rate, 4ms response and 250 nits of brightness, sold by an independent eBay seller.

Is a refurbished 1080p 100Hz monitor worth buying?

For documents, browsing, video calls and casual games, it covers the basics well, and 100Hz feels smoother than a typical 60Hz panel.

• Refurb grade: read the seller's notes on who certified it and what was tested.
• Cosmetics: check photos for screen marks or scuffs.
• Brightness: 250 nits suits indoor rooms; very bright spaces may feel dim.
• Inputs and cables: confirm the ports match your computer and that a power cable and video cable are included.
