About this item
This new listing for the ThinkPad P1 Gen 8 with RTX PRO 2000 pairs an Ultra 9 285H processor with 64GB of memory and two 2TB SSDs. The display is a 16-inch 3.2K OLED touch screen. Split storage is handy for keeping the operating system separate from large project libraries, renders or datasets.
Who needs a dual-SSD mobile workstation laptop?
Video editors, CAD users and developers who juggle virtual machines often prefer two drives: one for apps and one for scratch or archive work. Four terabytes in total gives you room before you have to rely on external storage.
- Check whether the two drives arrive as separate volumes or are set up as an array.
- Confirm the Windows edition and whether it is preinstalled.
- Look for the charger and its wattage in the listing photos.
- Read the seller's notes on keyboard layout and any manufacturer coverage.
