About this item
The ASUS Z890 AYW Gaming WiFi W ATX motherboard is built for a new system on Intel's newer desktop platform. It supports Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors, and its title lists DDR5 memory, PCIe and Wi-Fi. At $158.99 and listed new, it's an option for gamers and creators assembling a full-size ATX system.
Is the ASUS Z890 AYW Gaming WiFi W a good base for a Core Ultra build?
It's designed for that processor family, so CPU support is covered. The title doesn't list the M.2 slot count, the PCIe generation of each slot or the rear USB layout. Compare the listing with your parts list.
- Processor: confirm that your exact Core Ultra Series 2 chip is supported.
- Memory: the board takes DDR5 only, so older DDR4 kits won't work.
- Case: an ATX board needs a case that fits ATX.
- Box contents: check for the Wi-Fi antenna, cables and manual.
