A TypeMatrix JME-2020DE PS2 keyboard is a niche find. The independent eBay seller describes this open box unit as never used and prices it at $39.99. It suits retro PC builders, owners of older desktops with a PS/2 port, and typing enthusiasts curious about TypeMatrix boards.
Can a PS2 keyboard work on a modern computer?
Only if your motherboard has a PS/2 port or you use a suitable adapter. Many newer laptops and desktops don't have the port, so check your machine first.
- Layout: The 'DE' in the model number may point to a specific language layout, so check the photos.
- Condition: 'Never used' is the seller's claim, so look for wear on the keys.
- Packaging: Ask whether the original box and documentation are included.
- Adapter: Assume no PS/2-to-USB adapter is included unless the listing says otherwise.
