About this item
Gamers chasing high frame rates often shortlist the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 8-core AM5 processor. This unit is listed open box at $379.99, so read the condition details closely.
What should I check on an open-box Ryzen 7 9800X3D?
With a processor, the main risks are damaged contact pads, leftover thermal paste and missing packaging. Close-up photos tell you more than the box art does.
- Contact pads: ask for clear photos of the underside.
- Prior use: ask whether it was installed and tested, and for how long.
- Platform: you need an AM5 motherboard with a BIOS that supports this chip.
- Cooling: confirm whether a cooler is included before you set your budget.
It suits gaming PC builders and streamers who want 8 cores on AM5. Covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
