About this item
At $26.99 new, the SteelSeries Apex 3 TKL is a wired tenkeyless keyboard with whisper quiet membrane switches in Amethyst. Without a number pad, you have more room for wide mouse movements. That makes it a sensible choice for budget gaming setups, dorm desks and shared rooms where loud keys would bother someone.
Is a quiet membrane TKL keyboard good for gaming?
For many players, yes. Membrane switches give up the click of mechanical keys for a softer, quieter press. The TKL size also keeps your mouse closer to your keyboard.
