About this item
A Mac Mini 2018 with an i7 6-core processor and 64GB of RAM is a rare find, and this open-box Space Gray unit also has 1TB of storage. That much memory makes it appealing for virtual machines, home servers, Xcode builds for older projects, or Intel-only Mac software that some studios still rely on.
Is a 2018 Intel Mac Mini still a good buy?
It depends on your software. Because this is an Intel model, check Apple's current macOS compatibility list and make sure the apps you need still support Intel Macs.
- Ask whether the 64GB of RAM is factory-installed or an upgrade.
- Check whether a power cable is included.
- See which macOS version is installed and confirm Activation Lock is off.
- Confirm the 1TB is the internal drive, not an external add-on.
