About this item
For $19.99, this open-box HyperX Alloy Origins Core mechanical gaming keyboard with RGB LED lighting is an inexpensive way to try a name-brand mechanical board. It's a fit for students, first-time PC builders and gamers working with a tight budget.
Why is this HyperX Alloy Origins Core so inexpensive?
Open-box pricing often reflects opened packaging, missing extras or light use. The listing should tell you which applies here, and if it doesn't, ask.
- Ask whether the cable is included.
- Look for photos of the actual keyboard with the lighting turned on.
- Confirm the switch type, since the title doesn't specify it.
- Check for worn or missing keycaps.
At this price, a few cosmetic marks may be an acceptable trade for a mechanical gaming keyboard that would otherwise cost more new. Just make sure everything you need to plug in and play is in the box.
