About this item
Engineers, designers and CAD users looking at the Dell Pro Max Slim with an Ultra 9 285K get workstation-class parts in a slim case: an RTX A1000 graphics card, 32GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, Windows Pro and Wi-Fi. An independent eBay seller lists this FCS1250 unit as open box.
Is the Dell Pro Max Slim a good CAD and design workstation?
The RTX A1000 is a professional graphics card built for design and modeling software, not gaming. Make sure your applications list it as supported.
- Storage: 512GB is lean for large project files, so plan for extra drives or network storage.
- Open box: ask what was opened or used, and whether all accessories are included.
- Windows Pro: it adds business features like domain join, but check which edition is installed.
- Price: at $2,800, compare it against similar configurations.
